ABOUT THE EXCURSION

Heart of Gold is Australia’s biggest regional short film festival AND IS BACK IN GYMPIE FOR 2024’s massive event!

This excursion will enable teachers and students to engage with Film industry practitioners, view local and international short films and engage with likeminded peers. More details about the itinerary, films and masterclasses will be available later in the year, but please feel free to get in touch if you want to stay in-the-loop or provide feedback and suggestions as we continue to program the day.

The short films during this event include some of our best and most suitable shorts, showcasing local and international productions across a variety of genres, budgets and scopes.

Tickets for teachers will be complimentary to show our appreciation of the hard work you do in the classroom to inspire future filmmakers.
