Volunteer roles are now open for 2024 and we’d love to hear more about you and what you’d like to get out of your volunteering experience. Whether you’re looking to get more involved with our non-for-profit organisation, support our special events or just jump on board for the Festival, we want to find a spot for you to be part of the action.

Some example of roles include:
USHERS take shifts during the festival guiding audiences to their seats.
PROJECTIONISTS cue the films to play each session at the festival.
ART WITH HEART team gathers donated artworks from across the region to present as part of the Art with Heart raffle to fundraise.
BAR STAFF take shifts serving the festival crowd.
TICKETING staff handle our ticket sales.
PRESENTERS introduce the films at the start of each session.
TREASURY are our money managers who help count the tills at the end of each day.
HOSPITALITY team members take care of all the visiting filmmakers, arranging flight transfers, homestay accommodation and Gympie special tips.
DRIVERS take filmmakers, jury members and special guests to and from the festival.
SET UP & DECOR help get everything up and running and beautify the venue.
INTERNS support the Festival team and gain valuable insights into the Film Festival’s operations
