Be inspired by our wonderful family shorts, uplifted by the heart-warming family feature Emu Runner and engage with our free paper mosaics crafts and holiday activities in the Prospectors Hall. With adults at children’s prices for our family film sessions, there’s even more to love about holidays at Heart of Gold!

Family film sessions $7pp

Grab some popcorn and prepared to be inspired by our wonderful I Heart Holidays program of ten family friendly short films from around the world.

Featuring the delightful Canadian animation The Most Magnificent Thing, based on Ashley Spires’ wonderful book, a regular girl tries to make something magnificent but the creative process proves more challenging than expected (starring the voices of Alison Pill, Whoopi Goldberg, Elizabeth Saunders). Shifting gears, Own You by emerging Australian filmmaker Oscar Bailey gives an insider perspective of the challenges our connected world creates for a teenager when he is told to get off the computer! A dyslexic boy inadvertently shows a bully that it isn’t ‘soppy’ to love your Grandad and like spending time with him in Grandbad.
