Nicky joined the Board in 2020 and has enjoyed being a festival volunteer for the past 4 years. Nicky chose to raise her 2 children in her home town of Gympie because of its sense of community, great schools and its proximity to beautiful beaches, city shopping and rural retreats. Nicky has been an avid fundraiser for Rio Tinto Ride to Conquer Cancer cycling 200k’s in Perth and Brisbane raising money for cancer research. Last year she participated in a 100k walking event raising money to improve living standards for people in third world countries. Nicky sees her passion for movies and her passion for being part of an organisation that brings the community together and enlightens others, as a perfect match.
